Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

Dual Edge Capital (“we”, “us”) operates a private investor portal at dualedgecap.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect from authorized investors, prospects, and administrators, and how we use it. We do not sell access to this portal to the general public.

Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, display name, and (optionally) phone number, provided when you are added to the portal’s allowlist by a fund administrator.
  • Authentication credentials: a hashed password if you choose to create one, and short-lived sign-in tokens.
  • Investment records: committed amount, status, and dashboard activity, supplied by fund administrators.
  • SMS messages: if your phone number is on our authorized SMS list, the body of any text message you send to our dedicated number, the timestamp, and any media attached.
  • Operational logs: request metadata (IP address, user agent) used for security and debugging, retained for a limited window.

How we use it

  • To authenticate you and authorize access to dashboard data.
  • To record poker sessions, tournament results, and field updates that the fund’s administrators submit.
  • To send you transactional emails (sign-in links, password resets).
  • To allow administrators to record session results via SMS from pre-authorized phone numbers.
  • To detect and respond to security incidents (e.g., abusive authentication attempts).

SMS / messaging

We use Twilio to receive SMS and MMS messages from a small, pre-authorized set of phone numbers belonging to fund administrators. We do not initiate marketing or promotional SMS to anyone. We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or message contents with third parties for marketing purposes.

Opt-in: you opt in to receive SMS by entering your mobile number and checking the consent box on our opt-in page, or by giving an administrator explicit verbal or written consent to add your number. Consenting to texts is never a condition of any investment. Messages are account and operational notifications about fund activity (for example, confirmations of logged poker sessions and tournaments); we do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not sell or share your number.

Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving any further messages from our number. Reply HELP for assistance. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Message frequency varies based on administrator activity (typically a handful of messages per day during active poker trips, none otherwise).

How we share information

We share information only with the following service providers:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Vercel — application hosting and request logs.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Twilio — SMS / MMS delivery and receipt.

These providers process information solely to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Data retention

We retain account and investment records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our recordkeeping needs. SMS message logs are retained for operational and audit purposes for up to 24 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us at the address below.

Your choices

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
  • You may revoke SMS consent at any time by replying STOP or asking an administrator to remove your number.
  • You may stop receiving transactional emails by asking an administrator to remove you from the allowlist (note: this also terminates your portal access).

Children

This service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
